DNA TOTEM BY ARTIST SUPRINA

MGP-OL_COLOR                 PUBLIC ART INITIATIVE 

On Saturday March 26th the first Spring 2016 public sculpture was installed in Marcus Garvey Park. DNA Totem a public sculpture created by artist Suprina will be on view through September 30th 2016. The artist is a Harlem resident whose work the Marcus Garvey Park Alliance is proud to present with NYC Parks.

The Marcus Garvey Park Alliance and Heath Gallery will co-host the opening reception Saturday April 9, 2016 4:30pm ’till the sun goes down on the southern overlook terrace near the Fifth Avenue and 120th Street entrance to Marcus Garvey Park. Join us for a performance  by Beat Rhyming Artist Kid Lucky and Spoken Word performances by Young Drip, Parabxlla, and Victoria Awogbemi with Guitarist Jennifer Ochiaga. The reception continues into the evening at Heath Gallery 24 West 120th Street where additional works by Suprina will be on view as part of the Exhibition, Caught In An Upward Spiral.
